A night of the classic card game whist in aid of the Royal British Legion. Entry is £1 and includes refreshments during the interval.For the uninitiated Whist is a game similar to trumps or bridge (but without the bidding) and is played here to allow those participating to play against a range of people with a range of partners during the evening. Points are scored during the night and prizes will be given for first second and third place.
The game is very easy for new players to pick up the whist drive is a regular event happening on the 4th Tuesday of each month (The week can vary in December).
