Linda started as a temporary post lady filling in when Kedington found it's self short staffed. Five years ago she moved to a full time round. At that time she only planned to work for another two years till her 60th birthday but with a rule change allowing her to work on she continued until the current day through Wind, Rain, Snow and what ever else the weather could throw at her.
From next week Linda will be able to put her feet up and get a lay in except for Mondays when she helps her husband David deliver papers to near by villages for Kedington Newsagents. She hopes this will allow her more time to pursue her hobby of card making.
In recognition of her years of service and friendship her Co-workers gave her a watch and many good wishes for the future.
Linda will be replaced by a postman from Haverhill.
