Neighbourhood Watch describe their objectives as being "To prevent and reduce crime in our neighbourhoods, to help provide reassurance to people in our communities, to provide appropriate and up-to-date crime reduction advice, to encourage members of our communities to be alert and watchful in looking after themselves and others and To act as a channel of communication - passing on timely information from the police to the community and from the community to the police - to help prevent and detect crimes."
It is proposed that the schemes be set up in Dash End Lane and Westward Deals which have both been hit by crime in recent weeks.
If You would like to volunteer to be a part of these schemes please contact either Diane Townsend on 01284 774499 or Morva Wortley on 01284 774041.
