St Edmundsbury Reveal Plan To Catch Up With Bin Collections After Snow Delays.

One victim of the recent snow falls has been the collection of bins around the village. Today St Edmundsbury Borough Council revealed their plan to get bin collections back on track.

In a message received by Chairman of the KCA Steve Brown St Edmundsbury said collections of brown bins would be put on hold until the 18th of January from which point they will be collected on the normal day. Blue and black bins missed from the 6th till the 9th of January should be left out and will be emptied as soon as possible. Additionally they ask that blue and black bins also be left out on their scheduled collection day (even if they have so far not been emptied). This also includes scheduled collections before the 18th (Only brown bins are on hold until then).

Because some people may by now have generated more than one bin full of rubbish, bin men will also collect up to 4 sacks of blue bin wast and 4 sacks of black bin rubbish until Friday 15th only.
