Although the Sunday following Armistice day is traditionally the better attended of the acts of remembrance, to those who attend it the service on the eleventh day of the eleventh month is no less important. Fortunately the rain, although not abating completely slackened off to the occasional light shower.
Those who gathered today will also be gathering on Sunday for a full parade through the village.
